We are glad to announce the appointment of the new Director at the SIU London Campus.

David Taylor is a Professor of Strategy and holds a PhD in International Business, although his dissertation was in Economics. He spent 21 years in the British military, followed by 15 years as an International Government Advisor.
During that time he successfully ran four businesses in Europe, and studied in Paris for his PhD on an accredited American Graduate school course. After teaching in Paris he returned to live in the UK 4 years ago.

Prior to taking up his new position at Schiller he was Dean of the Malaysian Executive Leadership Centre and Campus Director for the Malaysian Limkokwing University of Creative Technology in London.
Being recently married he splits his time between work, family and research on his next book "Dispelling the Myth of Strategy".
It took place at Novotel Siam Square on 27th of September 2008, in Bangkok, Thailand, and was organized by SIU London staff members Aree Eamjitmetta and Sally Bennett. Thanks for organizing this great event!

The reunion was a real success: Even though it was the first alumni meeting in Thailand, 72 former students turned up!
Dr. Geoffrey Bannister, the new President of Schiller International University, also joined the event. One alumnus, whose parents own a leading newspaper in Thailand, kindly placed a free advert to inform alumni, students, and agents.
About 30 agents took advantage of the opportunity to meet so many SIU graduates, and were motivated to recruit more students into the Schiller family.
Dr. Bannister introduced Schiller in a television interview. He also visited universities, such as Stamford International University, and Dhurakit Pundit University for study abroad partnerships.

The following article was written by Thomas Leibrecht, SIU Heidelberg Campus Director, who knew Jerry at the Kleiningersheim Campus, in 1964, Schiller's founding year. They recently met at a concert:

"Occasion of the meeting on October 29, in Southern Germany, was a performance of Jerry's band The Gathering
Jerry lives mostly in Britain these days, and he is looking for the whereabouts of some of his old friends from Schiller Kleiningersheim days.
Jerry Donahue is of a folk rock legend known as "the string bending king of the planet". In the early days he worked with Fairport Convention, and during his long career has played alongside George Harrison, Cliff Richard, and Gerry Rafferty!
The Gathering is made up of a who's who of the genre including Rick Kemp, Clive Bunker, Ray Jackson, Doug Morter, and Jerry's daughter Kristina Donahue. They are key players from bands like Jethro Tull, Fairport Convention, Steeleye Span, Lindisfarne, Magna Carta, The Albion Band, and Pentangle."
