We regret to announce that the alumni reunion will be postponed to fall or spring.
Because of the relatively short notice, too few alumni registered for the reunion weekend on June 22-24.

We apologize for any inconvenience and hope that the next date will be a success. You will be notified about 60 days before the date of the reunion.

Kind regards,
Ute Gleich, Alumni Management

New: As of Summer 2007 semester, SIU is offering selected and approved undergraduate courses on-line.
Third and fourth year students can enroll in courses which lead towards the BBA in International Business or the BBA in International Hotel and Tourism Management. In Summer 2007 look for online undergraduate courses in International Relations and Diplomacy, as well as the 36-credit MBA.

Are Online Courses for You?
Schiller started its online program in 2001 with a small group of students and an even smaller number of courses. In fall 2007, we are offering four MBAs which can be completed entirely online, as well as the MIM degree. We are also offering a variety of online undergraduate courses.
Each year we develop and add additional courses and new programs, which help an increasing number of students to complete their degrees more easily. Can Schiller's Distance Learning Program help you?
Online courses are very attractive to current students who have scheduling conflicts on campus, or need a course for graduation that isn't being offered on campus during a particular semester. Students, who are working, find that taking some online courses helps them to better balance their work and their academic schedules.
Often students receive a job offer prior to graduation, and can no longer attend on-campus classes. Schiller's Distance Learning Program allows them to start working, while completing their degree online. Then of course, there are the students who left Schiller before graduating, and are now returning online, to finish the last courses they needed in order to receive their degrees. Do you fit into any of these categories?
SIU's online courses are open to all Schiller students at all Schiller campuses and alumni, so they retain the international "flavor" that exists in our on-campus classes.
In addition, we have online students from all over the world, who are not near any Schiller campus, and are completing their degrees completely online. They have jobs as doctors, accountants, teachers, hotel managers, IT professionals, etc., and their input into the online class discussions provides a wealth of international information that is just not available in a textbook! Online courses are taught by highly qualified faculty members trained in methods of distance learning instruction. Traditional course work, textbook requirements, homework assignments and grading remain the same, only the delivery method is portable, available anytime, anywhere.

All the best to you.

Sincerely, Ute Gleich, Editor
